A fantastic time was had by everyone at the Harry Potter themed camp this long weekend :)

Come and try day

Today was the Ginninderra District Girl Guides' "Come and Try

Day at the Hawker Guide Hall.

I made a lot of new friends. Some were Guides from the local units and some were girls who had never been to Guides before. We all had a great time.

We sang songs around a camp fire; had a bbq lunch; tried an obstacle course; created stress balls using flour and balloons; made bookmarks; made an origami pot to grow a flower in; made a compass using water, a needle and a cork; and we went across a rope bridge. I had the best time!

Today I made my promise

I made my Promise today to become a Junior Guide.

I made my Promise at the campfire of our "Come and Try Day". There were a lot of people at the campfire (about 50 girls, lots of Leaders and parents too) so I was a bit nervous but I had lots of help from a friend.
